CHRISTMAS IN JULY:  We are in full swing with our hour rehearsals for Christmas music.  The list of songs we are singing this year include:

A Carol Medley (It Came Upon A Midnight Clear/Silent Night).  Learned last year.

Alleluia  This is new, only 15 measures long.  It will be a good opening for a Christmas performance.

Christmas Was Meant For Children: Learned last year.

Coventry Carol: New this year.  Known by many of you, tenor melody.  Again only 16 measures long.

O Mary Rock:    Learned last year.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas:  Now have music for the whole song.  We woodsheded it last year.

White Christmas: Learned last year.

Winter Wonderland:  Learned last year, but a new intro, much shorter and easier than before with no key change.

 

SONG BIRDS:  Pam and I are working on a way to e-mail the new music to you; it would be easier and cheaper than mailing it.  Bear with us.

 

 REHEARSAL TIME CHANGE:  The rehearsals till the end of August will be from 5:30 to 8.  This will give people who don't drive after dark time to get home before dark.  Those who work come as soon as you can get there. We will have rehearsals each week unless otherwise notified.

The changes to the songs Elvis Medley; and Religion In Glory & Turn Your Radio On are ready and copies have been made.  I will get CDs finishe as quickly as possible.  We have worked on all of the songs and will keep moving forward.

 

  

IMPORTANT!  Judi and I have a sign-out sheet for June, July and August.  If you are going to be away, even for a short time, please let us know ASAP.  That way if there are too few people to have a worthwhile rehearsal, we will schedule accordingly.  There are about 15 people gone for the month of June.  Anyone else?
